It is a common thing these days to see or hear extremist Muslim preachers preaching ‘un-agreeable’ teachings. however, a preacher who was filmed preaching that responding to a person that wishes you Merry Christmas by returning the same holiday greeting, is tantamount to treason, and is worse than murder, has probably topped the list by a long shot.
In the minute-long video uploaded to YouTube, the Muslim preacher was preaching to a congregation of devotees when he spoke of the usage of he globally common holiday greeting ‘Merry Christmas’.
The preacher, identified as Lebanese-born cleric Abu Musaab Wajdi Akkar, argues that wishing someone a ‘Merry Christmas’ is as “sinful and against God as it gets”.
He later adds on that “wishing someone a ‘Merry Christmas’ is worse than fornication, drinking alcohol, and killing someone“.
We’d like to point out that this is the view and teaching of a Muslim Extremist, and does not reflect nor represent the views of Muslims around the world nor the teachings of Islam.
